President Shimon Peres is scheduled to meet in Cairo with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday. The two will discuss the plight of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit who is now in his fourth year of Hamas captivity, presumably in Gaza. No one has seen him since he was taken captive in a cross-border attack in Kerem Shalom.

The two leaders will also discuss regional diplomatic issues and other topics of mutual interest.
