Israel’s new ambassador to Washington, Dr. Michael Oren stated an Iranian nuclear attack against Israel could wipe Israel off the map in seconds.

The ambassador made his first public appearance in his new post at an event sponsored by the Colorado-based Aspen Institute at the 2009 Aspen Ideas Festival. He warned that in a matter of seconds, Iran can achieve what Tehran denies Hitler did, murdering 6 million Jews.

The ambassador stressed that he is not opposed to US President Barak Obama’s initiative, stating that dialogue may lead to an understanding with Iran, but coupled with this, he stressed that the hourglass is running down and as such, any dialogue must be take place within a specified period of time.
