Tel Aviv police have arrested Rafaat Atzatza, a PA (Palestinian Authority) policeman who has been wanted by authorities since October 2005 for his alleged involvement in the murder of David Avraham, a crime that occurred in Tel Aviv.
Atzatza, 24, was apprehended by chance as he visited northern Israel. It is alleged that following the murder, he fled to the PA, where he joined the police force. Avraham, who was involved in a to’eva establishment in Tel Aviv, was killed during an armed robbery which took place in his home involving three assailants.
Two other defendants in the case were tried and sentenced to life in prison. A female who assisted in luring the victim into the home led police to the identity of the third suspect, Atzatza.
