State Challenges Chareidi Control of Funds for Mosdos

yeshiva.jpgThe state has filed a petition with the High Court of Justice which in essence falls in line with a petition filed by the Movement for Quality Government (MQG). The state feels that funding for chareidi mosdos cannot be monitored by the very same people/institutions which will be benefiting from the funds.

The MQG feels the state’s funding of talmidei torah is illegal, explaining the law at present does not allow for such funding and before it can be actualized, legislation must be passed to legalize such a move. The state responded by explaining that it is permitted to transfer NIS 170 million to talmidei torah without legislating new laws.

The court is expected to hear the case today, Wednesday which comes on the tails of the ministerial approval of the so-called Gafne Law, intended to increase funding to chareidi mosdos.

  1. The goyim have a phrase, “He who pays the fiddler, calls the tune.” Given that the secular zionists see the abolition of Torah has a major goal, accepting money from them is inherently dangerous.

  2. OF COURSE!

To the secular anti-Hareidim, the right thing to do is to give control of these funds to those outside the Hareidi school system, so that they can blackmail the Hareidim into changing their curriculum to suit the agenda of the secularists.
