Mossad Deputy Director Calls it Quits

Only a number of days after the cabinet once again extended the term of Mossad Intelligence Agency Director Meir Dagan, the organization’s deputy director has announced he is calling it quits. Dagan will be serving eight years and it appears his second in command is tired of waiting to take over.

Dagan’s tenure has been extended until the end of 2010, at which time he will have completed eight years, and while the cabinet appears pleased with his performance, there is no lack of criticism from within the intelligence community, which appears less impressed with Dagan’s performance and even among fans, they feel the continued extension of his tenure is not a favorable move.

It would appear that the deputy director, whose name may not be published, is in agreement.
