“Settlers” are being blamed for the destruction of a field in Nachal Tzufit near Bat Ayin in Gush Etzion, containing 70 olive trees. Local Arabs have told authorities that the area Jews set the trees ablaze and uprooted them.

Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shaul Goldstein called on authorities to investigate before buying into the allegations leveled against Jews, explaining there have already been numerous cases in which police have learned left-wing instigators were behind such vandalism attacks to spark the fires of dispute between Jews and Arabs and to further delegitimize Jewish residents in the media.
