It appears that both Orange and Pelephone, two of Israel’s four cellular telephone providers, will be selling the iPhone 3G S. The new phone will be available in the local market in the summer, but both firms are remaining intentionally vague as per details of the package, or the price of the phone in Israel.
While the phone may be purchased in the United States through an AT&T package for $199, the price in Israel remains a mystery at present.
There are already many Israelis who are using iPhones in Israel, purchased abroad and then having the phone opened to operate in the local system. Local reports indicate the new Apple operating system permits iPhone to now accommodate Hebrew, a major plus.
