It began as a routine car inspection at a Ramot checkpoint on Monday but the driver of the car suspected as stolen refused to open his window. Border police smashed the glass and the driver, an Arab, tried to drive off. He was intercepted by a border police jeep that slammed into the vehicle. Police also fired four shots, two warning shots in the air and two at vehicle’s tires.

Four suspects were taken into custody. There were three PA residents hiding in the trunk of the vehicle. There were no injuries to police.
