President Shimon Peres has approved wiping the criminal slate clean for 59 opponents of the government’s 2005 Disengagement Plan providing that those include in the request do not have any other criminal record.

The Land of Israel Forum applauded the president’s decision, but called it too little too late, requesting the president also address many opponents of the expulsion whose lives have been ruined as a result of the legal process taking place against them resulting from criminal charges.
