It was the scene of tragedy on Wednesday when a 10-year-old boy struck a 65-year-old woman in an Ashdod park. The women struck her head when she fell to the ground and died.
Eyewitnesses who were present in Elisheva Park on Wednesday evening state the child did not strike the woman intentionally, adding he did not even strike her so hard, but tragically, she lost her balance, fell, and struck her head on the pavement.
The child continued driving, but witnesses explained it is entirely possible the young boy did not realize what had happened since he did not hit the woman hard. He was tracked down and he did appear in the local police station later that evening, accompanied by his parents. The case was turned over to special investigators and social workers. The body was sent for an autopsy by order of police.
