Minister-without-Portfolio (Likud) Dr. Binyamin Begin told Galei Tzahal’s (Army Radio) Razi Barkai on Sunday morning that one must question the true intentions of PA (Palestinian Authority) leaders. He questions why no one ponders the fact that when offered 97% of the areas in question, the PA leaders rejected peace offers in 2002 and in 2008/2009.
Begin stated that now Israel is called upon once again to make concessions and take the necessary steps towards reaching a peace agreement, stating the only thing that remains is the issue of permitting so-called refugees to return, the right of return, a demographic reality that cannot be entertained.
Begin stressed that despite the popular mantra, the Jewish communities throughout Yehuda, Shomron and Gaza over the years are not the reason Israel is not at peace with her neighbors and referring to them as stumbling blocs to peace does not reflect reality.
