MKs (Ichud HaLeumi) Prof. Aryeh Eldad and Uri Ariel toured areas of northern Yerushalayim on Thursday that are generally ignored by the IDF and police. As a result, Arab control over the areas has become a de facto reality and Jewish vehicles are not generally seen in the area.

Eldad and Ariel requested security accompaniment as is the norm, but both the police and army refused, each explaining it is not their jurisdiction. The MKs were undeterred and traveled the area anyway. PA security forces in plainclothes attacked Eldad’s car and smashed his windshield. Baruch Hashem, they were uninjured.
