Members of Knesset are going to be required to affix a sticker to their vehicles bearing the fairly common phrase “Is this driver obeying traffic law”? providing a telephone number to phone in a complaint. These complaints will be submitted to the appropriate Knesset officer, who is compelled to pass appropriate information to law-enforcement officials.
Kadima MK Ze’ev Bielski feels this is the minimum MKs must do towards taking part in the nationwide battle to reduce road accidents, injuries and fatalities. He added while he is confident MKs are cautious law-abiding drivers, this more in step in the correct direction towards improving national driving standards.
