A hazardous materials incident occurred on Monday morning in a factory near Netanya, in the area of the old industrial park. Ministry of Environmental Affairs experts called on residents of the nearby N’vei Itamar neighborhood to remain indoors.

Emergency responders reported brought the situation under control, the leak of an unspecified noxious substance, but not before the decision was made to shut Route 57 in the area of Bet Lid Junction to the Netanya Interchange during the morning rush hour.
