PM Convenes Ministerial Committee to Improve Life in the PA


Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s Ministerial Committee responsible for projects to improve fiscal realities in the PA (Palestinian Authority) met towards finding ways to improve the PA economy. The prime minister feels that this is an essential move towards creating stability and an atmosphere conducive to real peace with Israel.

Netanyahu explained to his ministers that the international community supports such a concept, and Israel remains willing to be a part of such efforts.

Defense Minister put forward a number of ideas, including the establishment of a number of industrial parks in PA areas; in northern Shomron, near Jenin, Tarkumiya (Southern Chevron Hills), and Yericho. Barak also addressed environmental issues, stating that after the sewage and dump sites are addressed, then a new PA city should be constructed alongside Ramallah.

The senior minister spoke of 100 joint economic projects on the drawing board involving Israel and the PA. It appears that during his visit to London this week, Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Intelligence and Atomic Energy Dan Meridor told officials that Israel plans to establish two negotiating and working teams to work with the Americans. One team will address concerns pertaining to Iran and the second the PA track.

The Israeli team includes Meridor, National Security Advisor Dr. Uzi Arad, attorney Yitzchak Molcho, and the Defense Ministry Bureau Chief Mike Herzog. The team arrived back from London on Wednesday, and the prime minister was briefed.

The prime minister was informed that the team indicates there is a possibility the United States will accept the removal of the outposts in a number of weeks to months in exchange for maintain the status quo regarding construction on yishuvim and the Greater Jerusalem Area.

  1. Yes, let’s help improve life for the arabs of the “P.A.” – by following Rav Meir Kahane’s plan of giving them a financial incentive to MOVE OUT OF ERETZ YISRAEL!!! Let’s work with our dear new arab-loving president Obama on this. I’m sure MANY of them would be very happy to move to the U.S.A. – Maybe give them a state of their own here! (Does anyone really live in places like Montana?!?!)
