A 42-year-old male from Ashkelon has become the ninth confirmed case of swine flu in Israel, having recently returned from the United States. The patient is in an isolation unit in Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.

At this point, it remains unclear if he was infected in the United States or perhaps on his return flight. His condition is reported to be good/stable.
