In a briefing to members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee on Monday, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai warned that in the next war, Israel will face simultaneous missile and terror attacks around the country.

The retired IDF major-general stated that these scenarios will be part of next week’s four-day nationwide preparedness exercise to evaluate the state of the homefront in the event of multiple strikes.

Despite calming messages from other politicians, Vilnai told committee members “this is not an imaginary situation, but a likely scenario in the future”.

Also taking part in the briefing was IDF Brig.-Gen. (res.) Ze’ev Zuk-Rom, who heads the National Emergency Authority.
