Report: Mubarak’s Grandson Died in Israeli Hospital

The Israeli Arabic Kol el-Arab newspaper reports that the grandson of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Mahmud Allah Mubarak was treated in Tel Aviv’s Schneider Children’s Hospital and he died there as well. The report released on Monday quotes “reliable sources”.

Officials in Schneider state the report is baseless and it is simply untrue. Hospital officials insist the child was never in the medical facility.

According to the report, some of the families of Arab patients treated in the Petach Tikvah hospital report there was “strange activity of Israeli and Egyptian security personnel in the children’s ward” and when one asked what was going on, he was told there is nothing going on, obviously not willing to discuss details.

Then they were told one of the visitors was told that the child is a patient of an Israeli Arab politician but later on, they saw a small coffin draped in an Egyptian flag and they were told the child who died “is a son of a known Egyptian personality”. After the news of the death of Mubarak’s grandson, they put one and one together to reach the conclusion that the coffin draped with the Egyptian flag was the grandson.

The witness, who did not wish his name mentioned, added the child was in a private room to avoid revealing what was going on. It was added that after he died, the coffin was flown to France and then to Egypt to give the appearance he died in France.

The grandchild of the Egyptian leader was 13. It is believed that he died from complications of food poisoning.
