The cabinet is expected to approve the establishment of a committee made up of 14 ministers and 3 deputy ministers, a body that week seek ways to improve perks for IDF reservists.

The military recently issued ID cards to combat reservists who regularly report to duty, entitling them to perks in certain stores as well as other deals in a showing of gratitude for remaining loyal to the necessary albeit sometimes difficult annual reserve duty.

Heading the committee will be Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
