Maranan V’Rabanan Rav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita, Rav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita and Rav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita are calling to link kashrus and tznius issues as the summer approaches. The Gedolei Yisrael feel that regarding mehadrin kashrus certification for hotels, the issues of kashrus and tznius mustn’t be addressed separately.
The gedolim point out that with summer approaching, accompanied by increased tznius problems, mehadrin kashrus for hotels and resorts serving the chareidi community must include tznius standards to prevent stumbling blocks for frum visitors.
The rabbonim explain this call is a continuation of the letter released on the matter last Iyar, calling on kashrus agencies to work with the Vaad Tznius to ensure the hotels are certified in both areas to prevent chareidim from finding their lifestyle compromised by immodesty in a resort.

The article is referring to EY but the same SHOULD be said for hotels and bungalows in the USA.
In Eretz Yisrael there is a widely held view that there should be a uniform standard of kashrus, preferably enforced by the state. In America, we have a free market system, and people don’t have a problem choosing hecksherim to accept or reject.

Unfortunately, and it is very unfortunate that there is a lot of chutzpah in today’s generation where most or some ppl (depending on the location) will not listen to or will choose to flat out ignore the words of Gdolei Hador whose words are kadosh. We fail to remember that they are H-shem’s shlichim and are here to deliver the message of the Almighty. I live in a chareidi area in EY where about 2 months ago there were postings all over the streets – on every major street. The postings showed 3 pictures of HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv, Shlita; HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman, Shlita; and HaRav Ovadia Yosef, Shlita. The message was very clear regarding “today’s” sheitels and lack of tsniut thereof. Specifically, they said that today, no sheitel is fit for s bas Yisroel. Yes, a very “touchy” subject with everyone. Needless to say, the postings where ripped and posted ontop within a day or two and business ran as usual. I hope that one or two had been affected by the message (for the safety of klal Yisroel) but as far as seeing a big difference – sadly that was not the case. I doven.
I feel that the jewish tznius stores think that their clothing is tznius enough. since when are tight fitted skirts and shirts tznius. everytime i walk into one of those stores i am saddened by the things that i see. something must be done about it.
There’s nothing new being said here. Of course people should only vacation in an environment where the atmosphere is as kosher as the food.
A while ago, I contacted by email, one of the “glatt kosher” “99 star” vacations advertised online for Pesach. I was curious as to the swimming – Sure enough, I was told that there was mixed swimming in the days with an hour from 10-11 at night separate. I fail to understand how any person who cares so much about kashrus to go to a “non-gebrocht; chalav yisroel; special shchita; blah blah” can then turn a blind eye to mixed swimming
