A 27-year-old Israel back-packer died in a New Delhi hospital on Monday, Israeli consular officials confirmed. The man was not feeling well and was admitted to hospital where he died a short time later.

Consular official Irit Schneur reports she received official notification of the death from the hospital, adding the cause of death is being investigated. The family of the young man was notified. They do not wish to speak with the media and do not wish his identity revealed. The body of the niftar is expected to arrive in Israel in the coming days.
