PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), who is working to hang on to his waning support base, seeking to overcome growing Hamas popularity, has expressed his disappointment following the statements released after the White House meeting between President Barak Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Abu Mazen, who delivers different addresses in English and Arabic and who recently announced he would never recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, accuses the prime minister of sabotaging the so-called peace process.
Officials in Ramallah are calling on President Obama to back its words with actions and compel Israel to act appropriately towards the establishment of a Palestinian state.
