Opgal’s Fever Detection System Ordered to Combat Swine Flu

As global swine flu concerns continue or even increase in some countries, the Opgal Company in Carmiel has received an order to supply tens of its Fever Detection & Alarm (FDA) systems to the Far East.

Opgal is a leader in development of thermal imaging technology, using a system based on infra)-Red Thermal Imaging technology that can detect differences in body temperature smaller than 0.5C. One of the symptoms of swine flu is a body fever exceeding 38C (104F). The FDA system is capable of flagging people with elevated body temperatures that pass within its detection cameras.
