A Jewish male was attacked by an Arab assailant at a spring near Bet Choron in the area of Hwy 443 early Friday morning. According to the limited information available, the two got into an argument while filling water from the spring. The Arab male attacked the victim with a metal pole, resulting in light-to-moderate injuries. A police unit that happened to be in the area apprehended the suspect, a resident of eastern Jerusalem. The victim was transported to hospital.
 
Police are investigation the possibility that the incident may have been a racially motivated attack.
