Katsav Trial Pushed Off to September

The Tel Aviv District Court on Thursday complied to a request from defense attorneys of former President Mosher Katsav, explaining they only received all the evidence in the case three days ago, seeking a delay to permit preparing for their defense.

Judges George Kara, Miriam Sokolov and Judith Shevach are hearing the case, and they agreed to a postponement until September 1st. Justice Kara then added the case will adhere to a rigid schedule and hearings will take place four days a week.

The president denied all the charges against him, stating he hopes with “Hashem’s assistance” he will prove his innocence. The former president was surrounded by family, including his wife, children and brother, and there was also a formidable presence of opponents, primarily women, calling for his conviction.

  1. Katzav, Olmert, Lieberman …
Are these Israel’s most pressing problems?
Which dark forces are pulling the strings from behind?
The leftleaning media, Peace Now & the Supreme Court deserve a serious government scrutiny about their backdoor activities.
