A woman who arrived on El Al flight 008 on Sunday, May 3rd was diagnosed as Israel’s seventh confirmed case of swine flu. Apparently, she was treated for the illness in the United States prior to her return, but nonetheless, she was instructed to remain home in Elkana in voluntary quarantine for a week following her return.
Health Minister officials instructed all passengers from that flight to report to an emergency room if they have any flu symptoms, including fever, fearing they may have contracted the illness from the 56-year-old victim.
Officials are also rerunning the tests on all suspected victims to date after the 27-year-old female released from Ichilov Hospital last week after testing negative was learned to be infected with swine flu after all.
