More Weapons for the PA on the Way

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is in the end process of formulating his policies ahead of his May 18th meeting in the White House with President Osama Barak. The plan includes expressing Israel’s willingness to immediately enter into talks with the PA (Palestinian Authority), without preconditions. In addition, upon receiving PA guarantees to combat terror, Israel will approve permitting transferring additional ‘resources’ towards further strengthening PA security forces, namely weaponry.

The prime minister is also expressing a willingness to advance improving the PA’s economic infrastructure, but he will remain firm in his opposition to signing any diplomatic agreement until such time the PA recognizes Israel as a Jewish state.

Netanyahu did not disappoint in his video conference message to the annual AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) conference, telling participants that together with President Barak Obama and the PA’s Abu Mazen, “we will surprise the world”.
