Heavy winds early Monday morning resulted in a large tree being uprooted; striking electric lines as it fell, resulting in a large blaze in Kfar Chabad early Monday morning. Three homes sustained serious damage in the blaze, which spread to a nearby forestry area. No injuries are reported.

Officials report the blaze was the result of extremely strong winds accompanying the heavy sharav heat-wave, which uprooted the tree and downed the power line. Baruch Hashem a number of neighbors realized what had happened and they began pounding on the doors of neighbors, succeeding in getting everyone out of the homes that were destroyed.
