IAF Readying for Offensive Against Iran

iaf2.jpgAccording to a French report, IAF fighter jets recently took part in a training exercise between Israel and Gibraltar, 3,800km (2,280 miles), viewed as yet additional preparations for an Israeli strike against Iran.

The weekly La Express reports conducted a comprehensive exercise, including midair refueling of jets. The exercise spanning over such a long distance the weekly reports is provides reliable testimony that the Israel Air Force is indeed preparing for an assault against Iran’s nuclear facilities should diplomatic efforts and sanctions prove unsuccessful.

The training event represents a distance almost twice the 1,500km between Israel and Iran, seemingly indicating Israel is preparing for any eventuality. Other recent foreign media reports concur, showing the IAF is busying itself with preparations for a long-range mission, one including midair refueling.

While politicians release warning messages, including Defense Minister Ehud Barak who continues to call for increased sanctions against Iran while stating “Israel is not taking any options off the table”. Jerusalem has declined comment on the latest foreign media report signaling a planned long-range aerial offensive.
