The cabinet on Sunday is expected to approve the establishment of three new government offices to legally open the doors for the new national government entities, which will accommodate Minister (Likud) Yuli Edelstein (Office of Information & Diaspora), Minister (Likud) Dan Meridor (Intelligence & Atomic Energy) and Minister (Likud) Moshe Ya’alon (Strategic Affairs).
The move is necessary to accommodate the current administration’s cabinet, which exhausted all ministerial appointments – creating new posts to create slots to satisfy the political ambitions of all the coalition partners.
Once officially approved, the treasury will allocate the funds to the new ministries, permitting the offices to become fully operational.
