Mr. Noam Shalit on Thursday met with American elected officials in Washington, DC in the hope of enlisting additional support to pressure Hamas to release his son.
Shalit met with a number of officials, including President Barak Obama’s Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, calling upon him to link the issue of the establishment of a Palestinian state to the release of his son.
Gilad Shalit was taken captive by Hamas in a cross-border terror attack in Kerem Shalom in June 2006.

The Shalit’s are Haniyeh’s “useful idiots”.
If he could he would gladly pay for their travel expenses.
Any publicity they get enhances Hamas’ standing.
Why don’t the Shalit’s get it?
Why?
Re: headline on Shalit story: verb should be “lobbies”.
Apart from the verb form: has Gilad’s father sought guidance from the gedolim?
This is a painful matter, and political deal-making should not be a part of it, especially when dealing with Moslem murderers.
We might now be faced with seeking the release of a Gilad whose psyche and/or body are (r’l ) damaged fatally.
we need rachmei shamayim to bring gilad shalit home!!
