Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon stated Israel cannot deny it has an “image problem” among European Union nations, adding it is something that must be addressed and the current reality can be corrected.

The deputy minister stated efforts are underway to mend strained relations with EU neighbors. On that note, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman will next week be traveling to Europe, where he will meet with leaders of a number of countries. Ayalon will also be traveling to Brussels next week where he will be meeting with a number of EU officials.
