University of Santa Barbara Prof. William Robinson has created a stir after emailing students with his comparison of Gaza to the concentration camps of WWII in Nazi Germany.
Apparently, as Israel’s Operation Cast Lead counter-terror offensive was taking place Jewish Sociology & Global Studies professor was busying himself sending emails to dozens of his students, showing photos and making comparisons between Gaza and Germany during WWII. He spoke of the “slow genocide of the Palestinian people” as well as referring to Hamas-controlled Gaza as “one large concentration camp”.
Robinson is not without supporters, including a colleague, Prof. Harold Marcuse, a Jewish professor of history, who stated that while he would not have made the analogy or sent such photos, he still feels his colleagues actions were within the boundaries of acceptable behavior and criticism of Israel.
The good professor has a hearing set for May 14th due to complaints filed against him by a number of students, including some Jewish students who dropped his class. He is expected to appear at the hearing represented by an attorney.
Some major Jewish organizations including ADL have called it “blatant anti-Semitism”.

Ahmadinejat
Hamas and the rest of the terrorists in the “government” created the conditions there. The poor people of Gaza have been used and abused by these Iranian/Syrian backed groups for decades. If only they knew how good life COULD be for them. As for this guy… I would hope that every student would walk out of his class and no others sign up in the future. Marginalize him so the school won’t want to keep him around.
Anti-semitism and Holocaust denying has become fashionable among the intellectual elite in this country.
I should e-mail him all of the documents that Yad Vashem sent me about my father’s family during WWII.
