Hospital Sanctions Expected on Thursday

While the health establishment is monitoring swine flu, the Clalit Kupat Cholim HMO, the nation’s largest, will on Thursday implement work sanctions in its affiliated hospitals around Israel.

Labor meetings will be held during work hours, which are expected to seriously disrupt the operations of the hospitals, which includes Rebecca Ziff (Tzfas), Carmel (Haifa), Emek (Afula), Schneider (Petach Tikvah), Yosef-Tal (Eilat), Soroka (Beersheva), Hertzfeld (Gadera), Meir (Kfar Saba), Levenstein (Ra’anana) and Kaplan (Rechovot).

The move has elicited a modicum of criticism due to the growing health concerns surrounding the swine flu.
