Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad on Monday released another statement that there will be no peace with Israel without the return of the Golan Heights. Syria continues to call for renewed talks with Israel, stating that the precondition to such a move is a total Israeli surrender of the Golan Heights and a return to the pre-1967 Six Day War boundaries.
The Syrian leader’s comments come a day following statements released by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who stated that Israel is willing to return to the negotiating table with the Syrians, without any preconditions.
“What is important is the Golan is ours. We have the rights on it and it must be returned to us” stated Assad.

The world seems to be run by a bunch of intransigent egos.
But we all know Who actually runs the world.
Intransigent egos make good puppets.
No peace until Eretz Yisroel reaches from Euphrates to the Nile, from Beirut to the Sinai.
“Syrian Leader: No Peace Without the Golan” – Uh, alrighty then… status quo until Mashiach comes. The citizens of the north have no desire to start sleeping in bomb shelters again, – like they had to do pre-6 day war when one never new when syrian shells would start to fall.
