Addressing a Holocaust Remembrance Day memorial event on Monday night, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gabi Ashkenazi stated that Israel today still faces calls for her elimination, threats from “those who openly hate us” and Holocaust deniers.
The IDF commander’s address came a short number of hours following Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s racist words delivered in Geneva at the Durban-2 Conference, reiterating the moral integrity of the nation and its military force. Addressing the official Torch Lighting Memorial Ceremony, Ashkenazi added the IDF has the capability of striking out against “the farthest enemy,” making a direct hint to Iran.

I’m sure that what he MEANT to say was that “with the help and strength of HaKadosh Baruch Hu,the IDF has the capability of striking out against “the farthest enemy””. Needless to say, without HIS help we are not capable of ANYthing.
