Ashkelon area police on Sunday evening apprehended five illegals as they attempted to make their way to the southern city. The five, residents of the PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous area of Halhoul, north of Chevron, were detected in a vehicle whose driver was acting erratically.

Police received reports five males were seen running from the vehicle south of the city. A search was launched and they were taken into custody in the N’vei Dekalim neighborhood of Ashkelon.

Police reported they were seeking employment and they are not terrorists, adding the suspects do have prior records of the same offense, entering pre-1967 Green Line Israel illegally.
