Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyah over the weekend emerged from his bunker to make a public address for a first time since Operation Cast Lead along with Mahmoud a-Zahar, marking Palestinian Prisoner Day.
Hinting at renewed talks between Israel and Gaza’s administration, he told a crowd of thousands in a Gaza mosque that soon, all the prisoners would be released.
The terrorist leader also used the forum to express his support for Hizbullah in the mounting conflict between the terror organization and Egypt, stating he and Hamas supports Hizbullah since “the Lebanese resistance organization defends the Palestinians”.
Hamas officials have released statements that talks towards closing a prisoner release deal for Shalit’s release will resume next month in Cairo.
