Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Dr. Yuval Shteinitz met on Monday with Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Israel Manufacturers Association President Schrage Brosh and Histadrut National Labor Federation leader Ofir Eini.
The senior officials discussed the current economic crisis which continues to break records for the number of people losing jobs monthly, which by all predictions will result in a major wave of firings after Pesach. The meeting surrounded the new administration’s plans to address the ailing economy, with the prime minister and finance minister seeking the support of the senior labor force leaders as they begin formulating and implementing plans to stabilize the economy and bring the nation towards recovery.
