Under the banner “there is another way,” marchers on Sunday, Jews and Arabs, paraded in Um el-Fahm in what they described as an alternative to the flag parade held by the right-wing in the Israeli Arab community last month.

The marchers made a point of holding the event in response to the controversial Israeli flag march, that was permitted by police only after being ordered to permit the event by the High Court of Justice. Sunday’s event was peaceful and it was held without incident.
