Deciding to launch a work slowdown without advanced notice in response to the planned firing of 300 workers, Tnuva dairy employees on motzei Shabbos halted operations resulting in a noticeable shortage in dairy deliveries to many stores around the center of the country, including the Jerusalem area.
Many grocery store owners explain they did not receive any notification or explanation, and they waited wondering why fresh milk and dairy products were not delivered on scheduled just days ahead of Pesach.
Tnuva officials explain they are sorry for the mix up but they were also caught unprepared due to the unilateral work sanctions. Company officials late Sunday morning released a statement that they were doing their utmost to arrange for deliveries later in the day.
