IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gabi Ashkenazi last week flew to Strasburg, France, following a request from Admiral Michael Mullen, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The two military commanders met on Friday, with officials reporting they discussed cooperation between American and Israeli armed forces and matters of joint security interest.
