MK (Yahadut HaTorah) Rav Menachem Eliezer Moses is calling to amend kashrus enforcement law to address the alarming trend of unauthorized and bogus kashrus supervisions.

“Selling questionable food as kosher is tantamount to one impersonating a physician and dispensing drugs”. Moses explains that the current kosher enforcement laws do not address punitive measures for fly-by-night and unauthorized supervisions that simply deceive the kosher consumer.

Moses calls on the powers that be to take respond to the call of the hour and work to amend laws and introduce the necessary changes to enable proper monitoring, enforcement and punishment if and when necessary.
