Kara Wants a Non-Jewish Minister

Likud MK Ayoub Kara, a ten-year veteran of the Knesset, is continuing his effort to have a member of the Druse community appointed to a cabinet post.

In another press conference, Kara once again raised the issue of a Druse minister, stressing the contribution the community has made to the Jewish state.

Kara, himself a major in the IDF, states the Druse citizens have proven their loyalty to the state, have paid dearly with their sons who fell in defense of the nation, and should receive a cabinet post, pointing out that previous administrations have already set the precedent.
