Speaking at a melave malka for the Siach Sod organization, R’ Yaakov Litzman announced that he will serve as the chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee. “I am telling you here that I will not accept a ministerial or deputy ministerial post, but the chair of the finance committee” he stated.

Litzman also promised to work to correct the current situation of “reverse discrimination” pertaining to chareidi education in general, and special education in the chareidi community in particular.

Siach Sod is an organization working with special needs children, primarily in the chareidi community.
