It has been learned that in addition to the taxi driver, a Ram (Rosh Mesivta) at Jerusalem’s Chorev Yeshiva also fired at the tractor terrorist who last Thursday attacked at Golomb Junction.
The rebbe fired from a distance of about 4 meters, striking the terrorist in his head. YWN Israel spoke with a source at Chorev, who confirmed the report, revealing the name of the rebbe, which will not be published for his own protection.
The rebbe left immediately, prior to the arrival of the media, but he was seen on the security video, revealing his identity to security officials.
The Land of Israel Forum headed by Rav Sholom Dovber Wolpe is bestowing its Gibor Yisrael Award on the taxi driver along with a NIS 1,800 cash prize towards encouraging citizens to become involved and take quick decisive action to eliminate such threats, many who today are too scared to act for fear of entangling themselves with the law.

Did he do it with an assault weapon or not? Will there be an official protest by the American government that there was undue force used to restrain the terrorist?

Whoops. This was a good piece of Purim art. It appears to me that the recently fired bullet in the picture is clearly shown still in its casing. When a bullet is fired, the lead slug zooms to the target and the shell casing which held the gunpowder just a moment before is ejected. Most Jewish people do not know the first thing about guns and that includes me. So sad.

since purchasing and learning to shoot a 38, i no longer feel as vulnerable….when i receive my permit, i will be carrying my gun in my purse….i feel more secure knowing i can protect myself & children if the need arises and yes, i live in the usa…..
imagine if every rebbi had a .60 caliber. head shot. BOOM, big hole in terrorist’s head. anyway, back to reality: Yasher Koach! Both Rebbis and students should learn from this rebbi to be armed and ready for anything that might happen.
