Thursday Morning News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


According to media reports, a criminal indictment is expected against former President Moshe Katsav in the coming days in connection to the numerous charges against him which compelled him to resign from office.

**PA sources report that two terrorists were eliminated in an IAF strike in central Gaza on Thursday morning. An Islamic Jihad terrorist was eliminated on Wednesday night when an air-to-surface rocket was fired at his vehicle. Other terrorists were wounded.

**The secular press reports a meeting is being arranged between Maran Rav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita and Yisrael Beitenu leader Avigdor Lieberman to permit Lieberman to explain his civil marriage bill. (Lieberman by the way speaks fluent Yiddish).

08:59: Two Kassam rockets lands in an open field in the S’dot HaNegev Council. A third rocket landed earlier Thursday morning. No injuries.
