Security officials warn the billions of dollars pledged by donor nations to rebuild Gaza will unfortunately serve to permit the terrorist organization to rearm and rebuild its military might. They add it is a fact that Hamas leads help themselves to whatever funding they require, and it is unfortunately that a mechanism is not established to ensure the humanitarian funding reaches its intended target instead of providing an impressive source of income for terror leaders.
Surprisingly, the Hamas-affiliated Pal-Media last week published a piece in which is spoke of the “anarchy” in Gaza, a situation in which the Hamas regime does as it pleases, without a need to exhibit transparency or accountability.
The article explains that agencies connected to the correct source are enjoying funding, recently exhibiting a boost in their activities as a result of the obvious influx of cash. Other organizations, which are not affiliated with the ruling regime, are left out in the cold, the daily HaMevaser reports, quoting the Hamas-affiliated news agency.
Interestingly, some nations have a unique approach to humanitarian aid, with Russia earlier in the week pledging 50 armored personnel carriers and two civilian choppers to the Hamas regime. This in addition to the $4.5 billion in donor funds that were raised, headed by the United States which pledged $900 million.
The Russian choppers will have a place to land as well, since Italy planned to undertake building an airport to promote tourism to Gaza.
