Despite increased Kassam rocket attacks over recent days, Israel on Wednesday opened Gaza crossings to permit entry to trucks carrying humanitarian aid.
110 trucks carrying aid will be permitted to pass through the Kerem Shalom Crossing and an additional 72 trucks will enter Gaza via Karni.
Israel continues to permit aid into the Hamas-controlled area, not linking the act to the release of Gilad Shalit, who according to reports in Israel on Wednesday will chas v’sholom not be released during the last days of the Olmert administration.
