Wednesday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


Two Arab women concealing knives were taken into custody in Chevron by border police on Wednesday afternoon. There were no injuries reported.
 
**Military police are investigating a report from a soldier who stated Arabs tried to kidnap him from the area of Givat Ze’ev north of the Ramot area of Yerushalayim. The soldier reports the Arabs fled when he chambered a bullet in his weapons.
 
13:15: Three Arabs were arrested near the village of Yabed, west of Jenin. One was hiding an explosive device on his body.
 
**A bus went up in flames in Shomron between the communities of Migdalim and Tapuach. No injuries were reported.
 
**IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron during the night arrested 22 suspects.
 
15:00: The IAF targeted weapons smuggling tunnels along Philadelphi Road in Gaza.
 
**Two Israelis who entered PA (Palestinian Authority)-occupied Bet Lechem were arrested by PA security officials and turned over to the IDF.
 
**Yisrael Beitenu reports that at present, his party and Likud negotiators have not reached an agreement pertaining to the civil marriage agenda of Yisrael Beitenu.
 
**Two days after being dismissed from his position, Amos Gilad admitted his statements to the press were out of place and apologized for his actions.
